wetsuit Terminology

G.B.S. (Glued and Blindstitched)
Butt joined seams, fully glued to eliminate water entry

Blindstitched
Seams are sewn but needles don't go completely through the neoprene, maintaining the integrity of the sealed seams

Liquid Seals
Applied over the internal glued and blindstitched seams, seams are completely sealed with liquid seals, while full stretch ability remains constant

Bat Wing
Zip seal gusset, eliminates water entry through zip

Super Stretch
Super Stretch Neoprene - the latest neoprene technology, incorporating extreme stretch, fit, comfort and warmth

C Mesh
C-Mesh skin - single lined neoprene, used on chest and upper back panels. Single lined neoprene eliminates wind chill by not holding water on the surface of the material

Enduro Kneepads
B.A.B. Supratex - used for panels which require reinforcement, providing extreme durability whilst maintaining stretch

Flatlock
This stitch is predominately used for warm water suits when water elimination is not essential. Flat seams are achieved using this method. Seam rash is no longer a problem. This stitch is extremely strong, providing excellent durability

Chest Zip
Providing superior water seal, the use of a chest zip also provides extra stretch in the upper back by allowing the back panels to have full stretch, unhindered by a back zip

Cell Flex
Used for all action panels in ZEE wetsuits, Cell Flex is the extreme stretch neoprene and is designed for maximum comfort and flexibility
